At the age of 12, Leicester-based singer Mahalia had already ventured into music, experimenting with the guitar, as well as trying her hand at songwriting.

Seven years later, the 19 year old released her debut single Sober, which subsequently amassed over two million streams. Following its success, and the popularity of her soulful tone, Mahalia was invited to perform the track on Berlin online platform COLORS in October, with the video then receiving over one million views. She has since released her single Hold On featuring Compton rapper Buddy (produced by Jay Prince and Drake and Tinie Tempah collaborator Nana Rogues), sold out her first London headline show and announced a second at Hoxton Square Bar & Grill on November 15. With no signs of slowing down, Mahalia is also set to perform a nine date UK and Ireland tour this year.
